About us

Glen Robertson - Co-Founder

I have been in the martial arts, health and fitness business for over 40 years. Within that time, I have practised and taught Chinese, Japanese, and Russian martial arts and their associated health systems.

I am a qualified Personal trainer and currently teach Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates, kettlebells, mindfulness and Systema.

I also run a sports, deep tissue and acupressure massage practice.

Although my background is originally in martial arts, these days I am more focused on the health aspects of the systems I teach and how they can be applied to general life to help maintain mobility and health, through breathing and relaxation.

I am also currently at University completing a PhD in Psychology studying Tai Chi and its effects on the mind and body of those who practice.

Neil Webster - Co-Founder

I have been involved in martial arts and the fitness industry for 37 years.

I practice Chinese martial arts and weaponry. I also have a wide knowledge of Russian Systema and other combative arts.

Although I have a solid understanding of the myriad health aspects of all the above including meditation and mindfulness, my main focus or skills lie in the combat side of the arts.

Currently, I own and run the Kung Fu & Tai Chi Academy in Epsom Surrey. Here I teach Tai Chi and Kung Fu. Teaching all ages and abilities. There is a beautiful, well-equipped studio and fitness center.

I am also a qualified personal trainer and have a small gym on the premises for 121 or small group fitness teaching.

I taught the British Army namely, the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards and the Scots Guards, close quarter unarmed combat for 2 years.

At the Academy I encourage Autistic children and adults to train either privately or in group sessions.

This all brings together a wide range of healthy pursuits that will develop discipline, wellbeing, fitness and focus to enhance your life.
